As a Barclays Finance Regulatory AVP, you will work closely with Finance in developing, coordinating and monitoring a globally consistent control framework. This includes overseeing adherence to documented policies and procedures and for developing new initiatives to enhance controls and maximize efficiency globally.

What will you be doing?
??? Managing transaction testing, oversight of scheduling and conduct of walk-through meetings with all relevant stakeholders, selection of appropriate samples for testing ??? Reporting of all issues identified/observations made and recommended remediation and communication of results to all relevant stakeholders ??? Managing the assigned controls testing process, review of the design of process and controls, supervisory review of testing within Barclays' policies and standards ??? Maintaining full appropriate documentation that is auditable ??? Reporting and communicating all assessments to the appropriate personnel ??? Reviewing issues remediation documentation ??? Providing training and guidance relating to transaction and controls testing and current regulatory developments
What we're looking for:
??? Bachelor's Degree with strong academic background (at least 3.5 GPA) ??? Qualified or in the process of being qualified accountant (CPA, CA, MBA or equivalent) ??? 3+ years of investment banking and/or financial services experience ??? 3+ years of auditing/public accounting experience in Big 4 firms
Skills that will help you in the role:
??? Excellent understanding of internal controls and governance of a Finance function within an Investment Bank or Broker Dealer ??? Working knowledge of CCAR, financial accounting and products, regulatory reporting, control governance and/or SOX ??? Experience managing a team to tight deadlines, effective communication with senior members of management, demonstrate a pragmatic approach to problem solving ??? Able to question current processes and develop recommendations for alternate effective solutions, proficient in Excel i.e. vlookups, pivot tables, formula etc. and PowerPoint
