Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Finance Analyst 3 and the Chief Administrative Officer in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, incumbent is responsible for the direct analysis and management of financial activities for assigned divisions and accounts. Major duties include unrestricted, gift, endowment and assigned research fund management, external contract billing and monitoring, divisional budgeting and profit and loss statements, reconciliation of divisional accounts with accounting ledgers and financial account transfers. Develops and maintains systems to assure conformity with UC accounting policies for reporting to Division Directors, Program Directors and management in the department. Utilize Decision Support Systems to generate reports, ensure data is accurately reported in the system. Audit and analyze data for assigned projects.

3 - 5 years with BA/BS or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of university general accounting, payroll accounting, contract and grant accounting and purchasing policies and procedures. Ability to audit documents and determine compliance to policies. Working knowledge of budget preparation, financial and administrative analysis. Ability to interpret and summarize complex financial information and narrative reports pertaining to such topics as budget development fiscal planning and reconciliation. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and employ effective problem-solving techniques. Ability to collect and analyze data. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a complex workload in an environment with changing priorities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality of financial and personnel matters.
Special Conditions Required:
Must be able to drive to campus for meetings. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; dependent on coverage needs and subject to change. Flexibility to report to duty onsite during established work schedule.
