GLOBAL DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS (F&O), Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL)-Global, to serve as the chief administrative and financial officer for the J-PAL's head office (Global) and provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to its seven regional CFOs worldwide. Will report directly to the Global executive director and work with staff worldwide to establish and maintain policies and practices that both fit within their local university environments and enable J-PAL as a whole to further its mission in an efficient, fair, transparent, and sustainable manner.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field; at least seven years' experience in finance, operations, and administrative management; deep knowledge of finance; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when preparing analysis, spreadsheets, and presentations; strong writing skills; tact and good judgment with confidential information; and excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills when dealing with internal/external stakeholders. Must be able to analyze, synthesize, and present information effectively; communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership, in-person and virtually; collaborate with MIT to ensure its policies allow J-PAL to reach its fullest potential; provide high-level strategic vision to and mentor the F&O team; lead a vertical through recruitment of top talent, retention through mentoring, team building, coaching, and professional development; anticipate, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines; manage multiple tasks and small teams; respond to numerous requests from various parties; handle a high volume of work; and deal diplomatically with high-profile organizations and officials. PREFERRED: master's degree, experience working in an academic setting and either outside the U.S. or in an organization that has international work, and familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, Foundation Connect, SAP).
