Position Description: The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services organization is seeking an experienced Manager, Finance & Budget with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join our Strategy, Planning & Operations team, collaborating with diverse and talented team of leaders to ensure financial and operational well-being for our enterprise organization.
As key member of our Strategy, Planning & Operations leadership team, the Manager, Finance & Budget will collaborate closely with IT Services leadership, managers and campus financial organizations to plan, manage our finance and billing teams and maintain our fiscal programs, reporting and processes to ensure business continuity and future state planning.
The Manager, Finance & Budget is responsible for the department's financial operations including budget development and management, financial planning and forecasting, revenue and billing, standard and ad-hoc reporting, adherence to fiscal policy and procedure, and financial analysis and modeling. The Manager will develop, implement and manage sophisticated financial models to derive pricing for information technology services offered to campus; develops pricing structure that supports operational costs; develops sales and service proposals to adjust service fees. Oversee and manage department annual budget of approximately $90 million with complex funding and revenue sources, including billing of information technology services to campus departments and receivable management. Develop and administer service fee model for campus and system-wide application development and services. Additional responsibilities include ledger reconciliation, fiscal reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual), variance analysis, and assisting in overall departmental operations; participates in requests for proposal development and bid evaluations; collaborates with departmental and campus purchasing to develop project and capital budgets; participates in regular financial audits (internal and external) and is responsible for implementing recommendations to ensure alignment with policy and practices. The Manager will also oversee a team of finance professionals including analysts, accountants and billing team members.
