The Finance Analyst is part of the Structural Heart FP&A team based out of Santa Clara, CA. You will work closely with finance support for commercial, operations and support function teams and have direct visibility to key Structural Heart executives. This position will assist with the LBE/Plan process, perform variance analysis and reporting activities. Ensure timeliness, accuracy and integrity of all finance-related information. The employee is expected to establish and cultivate an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Global month-end reporting and analysis. Provide month end analysis and commentary on a timely and accurate basis.
- Provide global LBE reporting and analysis. Prepare, consolidate and analyze information to support deliverables during LBE/Plan cycles.
- Financial business partnering with Structural Heart support functions including commercial and operations organizations to acquire information.
- Consolidate global P&L forecasts and results
- Analyze detailed financial forecasts incorporating history, trends and current business/market information.
- Conduct regular financial reviews with department managers to communicate financial performance and provide valuable insight to help business achieve financial goals
- Prepare and distribute financial reports and packages
- Assist with executive presentation development and compilation
- Ad hoc analysis
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of full-time finance and/or accounting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to learn system software and databases quickly (SAP, Essbase, Business Objects)
- Cross-functional dialogue and strategy is essential.
- Robust working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred
- Two + years of public accounting and/or internal audit experience
- Medical device industry experience
- Experience with SAP, Business Objects and Hyperion Smartview/ Essbase
- Global business experience
- Experience managing budgets
