The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a USAC M&SC Logistics / FP&A Finance Analyst you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Developing and delivering sustainable operating plan and QOR for USAC Freight and Handling; includes being fully engaged in quarterly operating review.
• Providing insights to Business Group Operations, Area M&SC, Plant Analysts, and Global Enterprise Operations Finance Manager through monthly commentary of freight spend, forecasting OP Plan and QOR, and ad-hoc inquiries.
• Engaging, fully understanding, and supporting the process changes involved in USAC business transformation deployments, including manufacturing plants, subsidiaries, and migration of parent company interim state payment processes to SAP. Support implementation of freight settlement system and process design to achieve compliance with the GFS. Communicate and cascade changes and financial impacts to appropriate supply chain and finance teams.
• Becoming the right hand of the Supply Chain group with complete understanding of the business models and influence the decision-making process
• Partnering/leading USAC FP&A activities: continuous improvement projects, estimate rhythm, etc

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Three (3) years of finance and/or accounting experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

• MBA/CMA/CPA from an accredited institution
• Self-start with a curiosity mindset
• Strong financial acumen - ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms
• Strong experience influencing across the organization
• Solid manufacturing finance knowledge and acumen as well as strategic thinking mindset
