WHAT YOU'LL DO
Abbott is seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager, PMO that will be responsible for executing strategic projects that will transform the US Record to Report (RTR) tower to enable the department to improve the effectiveness of our support to our stakeholders. These strategic projects impact the US RTR team and Commercial Divisions, they vary in nature depending on business needs. This role will report to Core Diagnostics Senior Manager, Corporate Finance Services (CFS).
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager, PMO include:
Set and drive the execution of strategic projects while working directly with CFS RTR leaders and gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
In consultation with business and operational teams, lead identification, prioritization, and delivery of process improvements/projects, ensuring support of organizational outcomes and business results.
Collaborate with Corporate Finance Services (CFS) & Shared Service Operations (SSO) leadership to ensure alignment of priorities, management, and influence of results through working in a matrixed environment.
Collaborate with Divisions and Global IT on ERP program initiatives and deployment of other enabling technologies as necessary.
Provide support on execution of strategies to advance Abbott/CFS Operational Model.
Identify, drive, and monitor continuous improvement related to the RTR process area and create opportunities to bring service innovation to Abbott across the end-to-end RTR process.
Ensure adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the finance functions. Act as a liaison with Abbott Division and Corporate business partners, CFS\SSO and other customers.
Proactively as aligned with Management monitor cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives that impact people, processes, and technology to ensure alignment, maintain agility and mitigate disruption to the RTR process agenda through frequent communication with business partners including CFS & SSO leadership, Future of Finance leadership, functional stakeholders including commercial divisions, Corporate functions, etc.
Operate independently within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under some supervision.
Work closely with CFS\SSO leadership responsibilities related to business strategy, business case development, and business design decision making.
Identify and lead opportunities for change management at a senior level, which is essential for securing buy-in from senior management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Required:
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or General Management strongly recommended. CPA highly desirable.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required
Preferred:
7+ years of Finance and Accounting experience in a complex multinational organization, 2 to 3 of those years from transaction through to close, inclusive of external and internal financial reporting.
Program and project management experience.
Demonstrated leadership to work in a matrix organized environment.
Experience and background in evaluating business risk and implementing financial controls.
Effective stakeholder management experience with ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts.
Ability to work and collaborate with others, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leverage relationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results. Decisive yet collaborative leadership style.
Ability to work with others in a formal process for solving issues and problems.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
