The Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the Ellucian Banner Finance system and associated third party systems within the Division of Finance. The individual manages the relationship between functional users (Finance business unit, university-wide system users) and technical support (central ITS). Responsibilities include ERP system functionality analysis and maintenance, customer support and project work and managing access to the university financial systems through role-based security.
In order to succeed in this role, the person must develop and maintain understandings of both the needs of the business units and their customers, the functionality of the systems available to the University, the organizational structure, and the chart of accounts.
Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering management or a related field required
Masters degree in technology related field preferred
2 years of experience in business process analysis
2 years experience in data analysis
Customer Service and support
Strong organizational, time management, analytical and prioritization skills Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, demonstrated success facilitating team workshops across a broad set of constituencies and areas of expertise Working knowledge of the project management process
Reporting and data visualization tool such as Tableau or PowerBI
Programming such as SQL, Python
Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Banner, Cognos, Service Now
