The Team: The S&P Global Public Finance Commercial Team is responsible for optimizing relationships and commercial outcomes for all of the cities, states and innumerable public finance entities in the U.S & Canada. The Position:
The Associate is responsible for supporting the Public Finance Commercial Corporate team in the management of existing rated issuer accounts/new business, delivering a positive overall client experience, and ensuring the timely execution of transactions. This role, which will have both client facing and internal support aspects, will help support a book of business made up of key players in multiple industries. The Associate will work in close collaboration with all members of the team and will be a strategic pillar in supporting the achievement of the regional USD revenue target.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on retaining and growing business by ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Communicate with clients regarding significant issues and direct immediate resolution.
- Use Salesforce.com proactively to ensure the database properly reflects the status of each client, prospect, and opportunity.
- Assist the team with prospects including the pricing of transactions and managing new clients through the engagement/onboarding process. Effectively coordinate within the organization to ensure execution in an efficient and timely manner.
- Support telephone and e-mail marketing to issuers to introduce S&P's sustainability products, as well as other products
- Attend meetings alongside the team to gain experience in positioning S&P's products/value proposition and to learn best practices.
- Deliver insights on product functionality and use cases.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Understanding of the Debt Capital Markets / Fixed Income arena. Experience in municipal issuance is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy, and sense of urgency
- Solid organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
- Knowledge of CRM databases (such as Salesforce.com)
- Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment
Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,596 to $89,129 plus performance-based incentives. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
