The Director, Finance & Administration for the Office of the Provost assists Executive Directors in Finance & Administration in managing budget, procurement, staff HR, faculty hiring, and related compliance activities for academic colleges and the Library.
- Assists with the division-wide annual budgeting process related to reviewing college data entry and ensuring balanced budgets in CoogPlan (Hyperion).
- Ensures financial accountability and compliance with state, university and external funding agency guidelines, and assists in the implementation of related division-wide business processes and best practices.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the annual faculty hiring plan for all colleges.
- Manages faculty hiring, start up, and budget allocation databases in Finance & Administration.
- Analyzes financial data using CoogPlan (Hyperion), PeopleSoft queries, and the Student Dashboard, and produces customized reports on college financials for the Provost.
- Assists with division-wide mock-audits to ensure compliance with state and university policies and procedures.
- Assists in managing annual division-wide Human Resources projects such as ePerformance and merit. Acts as central point of contact for all colleges; reviews and analyzes data submitted from all units; prepares consolidated reports/responses for Office of the Provost, Human Resources, and the Budget Office.
- Develops and deploys relevant training modules for division-wide business staff.
- Oversees Monthly Checklist process for division.
- Facilitates all documents submitted by colleges for Senior VP (Provost)-level approval.
- Researches, assesses, and manages the resolution of highly complex issues related to college interface activities as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.

Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.Certification/Licensing: None.

- Experience managing contracts preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Demostrated ability in Excel to develop and maintain complex databases.
