Position Summary:
Instructors in Barker Risk Management and Trading Program have responsibility for instruction of Barker Program courses and funded student trader development. The Director of the Barker Risk Management and Trading Program has responsibility for monitoring student trading activities and the associated accounts and financial institutions, record keeping and maintenance to include working with the accounting firm selected to facilitate tax filings, working with colleagues in the College of Business and Economics and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences to continue the development and expansion of the program and coordinate meetings of the program advisory board. Instructors may also be assigned teaching responsibilities for other finance and general business courses in the Department of Business.

The incumbent will serve as a champion for the University of Idaho and higher education, advocate for the College of Business and Economics Purpose, Mission, and Value Statements, and help foster positive changes within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters of Business Administration or graduate degree in an affiliated field.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
• Willingness to teach a variety of finance courses and lead the Barker Capital Management and Trading Program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching in the field of finance and general business courses.
• Professional experience in a field related to financial markets.
