The Town of Los Gatos (pop. 33,000), a general law city operating under a Council-Manager form of government, is located approximately 60 miles south of San Francisco in Santa Clara County. Reporting to the Town Manager, the Finance Director manages the Town’s financial affairs along with seven staff and a budget of $1.6 million.
Los Gatos seeks an experienced and knowledgeable municipal finance professional who thrives in a team environment. The ideal candidate will be respected for their technical expertise and leadership style. An exceptional communicator, the candidate selected will be able to communicate complex financial information clearly with a highly educated and engaged community. Competitive candidates will have sufficient years of progressively responsible experience supervising professional staff and managing complex financial operations in a public agency. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Public Administration or related filed is expected and a Master’s degree and/or CPA is highly desirable.
