The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Neeley School of Business for Fall 2022 or until filled. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in finance. The applicant should be capable of teaching high quality courses in multiple areas of finance. The Neeley School supports and expects high quality research. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential to publish in leading finance journals.
Department Details The Department of Finance has 16 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in the leading finance journals. In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance and other leading journals. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance. Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds.
School/College Description The TCU Neeley School of Business is comprised of six academic departments including Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, Management and Leadership, and Marketing. The TCU Neeley School of Business has an annual enrollment of 2,821 (2019-2020) undergraduate and graduate students, 215 employees and 24,595 alumni. The Neeley School is proud to be fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for our undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition, our Accounting department is among an elite number (less than 200) accredited by AACSB.

Careers and Employment Opportunities was ranked at #10 in the U.S. and #1 in Texas by Poets & Quants. The Executive MBA program was ranked 18th in the world, 8th in the U.S. and 1st in Texas by The Economist. TCU’s accounting graduates regularly achieve the #1 CPA exam pass rate in Texas. The accounting program was ranked 20th in the U.S. for undergraduate programs and 21st among graduate programs of its size by the Public Accounting Report.

Required Application Materials & Application Instructions The position requires a completed Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Finance or an equivalent discipline. The applicant for this position should be capable of effectively teaching finance courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and a strong research capabilities are required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
