The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance in the Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) at Youngstown State University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in Finance beginning August 2022. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate, and possibly graduate, courses in finance and specifically those in the Certified Financial Planning track in the undergraduate finance major. Faculty must also conduct research in the discipline leading to presentations and publications in refereed journals; engage with the business community and profession; and contribute to the department, college and university in ways that support strategic priorities.
The mission of the WCBA is to prepare students to be successful business leaders. We emphasize the application of theory to practice and the professional and leadership development of our students. Faculty are required to 1) demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching, experiential learning and student engagement, 2) produce research with impact, and 3) engage with the business community in ways that support economic development and teaching and scholarship goals.
The WCBA is housed in a state-of-the-art building and is comprised of the Department of Management & Marketing, The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance, and the Department of Communication. The AACSB-accredited business programs include the BSBA with 9 majors, the MBA, and the Master of Accountancy. There are 35 business faculty members, 1350 undergraduate business majors, 400 MBA students and 30 MAcc students. The WCBA has a dedicated Center for Undergraduate Student Services and Center for Career Management. The WCBA also houses the Small Business Development Center, recognized as one of the top SBDCs national-wide as well as the Export Assistance Network and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

An earned Ph.D. or DBA, by the time of appointment, with an emphasis in finance from an AACSB-accredited institution. Ability to teach courses in the CFP track. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, experiential learning, and engagement with the business community.
CFP designation. Teaching experience and/or business experience; demonstrated ability to conduct research; demonstrated interest and ability to work with the business community. Ability to provide leadership for the CFP track.
