The Business Associate is a senior level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. May manage ad hoc projects as requested.
Construct and implement business strategy in collaboration with the business head
Definition of support level expectations across the front to back infrastructure and related support teams
Liaison with support functions building senior level relationships with operations, finance, technology, credit risk, market risk to develop and deliver on business strategy.
Create & Provide effective metrics to the sponsors and senior management team
Other ad hoc administration tasks that support the activities of the business including PowerPoint presentations and Excel analysis.
Seek out and ensure corrective actions plans are implemented for control related issues across the spectrum of control functions with a goal of driving a robust, efficient and scalable business model across all traded asset classes
Take a leading role in the control framework for the wider business including but not limited to internal audit, Compliance testing, operational loss processes and investigation, and developing and driving corrective action plans.
Business Development & Project Management
Ownership of business-driven projects across functions, driving implementation working closely with relevant seniors.
Represent the business when dealing with external vendors or at external industry forums
Provide input into and drive business change, process and control framework enhancements
Demonstrate a knowledge of financial markets, preferably in Prime Finance products
Relay business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and internal support functions where required.
Co-ordinate and participate actively in all relevant business initiatives as required.
Foster excellent relationships between the businesses and various support functions.
Communicate (written and oral) information within and between the businesses and support functions.
Communicate effectively within the business management teams locally and globally.
High level of computer literacy especially in the Microsoft Office product suite, preferably including the ability to code
Proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint
Significant exposure to Prime Brokerage and / or Equity products required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial markets in either business, control or business support functions.
Strong control mindset
Understanding of Markets regulations and their impact on the business
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
