The University of Missouri, a Division I institution and member of the SEC is now accepting applications for the position of Senior Associate Athletic Director Finance and Analytics. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position and will be responsible for the direction, management and planning of the internal and external management of the Athletic Department by assuming major administrative responsibilities for Finance and Analytics. This executive position will report to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and will be an integral member of the senior management team within Athletics. This position will be responsible for ensuring Athletics operates within University policy and procedures and works closely with the Vice Chancellor and Chief Business officer of the University. Essential duties and responsibilities for this position include development and oversight of the department's $100+M annual budget and long-range financial planning; development or oversight of the development of detailed budgets showing revenue and expenses for each sport; oversight and performance of all financial reporting for athletics; provide oversight for how funds are spent and managed ensuring that funds are budgeted and spent according to fiscal policies and procedures; oversight and direction of the development of department/function policies, programs and procedures, adapting as necessary and aligning to NCAA and SEC conference standards; identification and solving of complex, functional, operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department; impacts departmental results through the support and funding of projects, services, etc; negotiates and serves as the liaison for select third party contractors; develop and oversees an analytics team to support the department's mission; ensures internal controls are sufficient to minimize internal and external risk; ensure that assets are safeguarded and that transactions are properly documented; ensures that individuals with fiscal responsibilities in the department are properly trained, supported and provided guidance to be effective; actively engage with the campus division of finance; may serve as sport supervisor as assigned; perform other duties as assigned. A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of six years of experience working in intercollegiate athletics business and finance or related enterprise. Demonstrated experience overseeing financial operations for complex organizations with various forms of revenue streams and allocations. Successful experience in managing and resolving conflict, building consensus, and making sound judgements in a complex environment; leadership experience and strong communication skills are required.
