The Hubbell Rotation Program (HRP) is a program for new college graduates aimed toward accelerated exposure in various business functions. The focus of the program can depend on the needs of the company and the interest of the employee. The program will span a 3-year period and requires relocation to 3 Hubbell facilities located primarily in the United States. This person reports to the Campus Program Manager for the duration of the program but receives day-to-day assignments from local management.
The Finance Hubbell Rotation will include rotations in Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Investor Relations. This Finance/Accounting position offers a variety of opportunities including supporting the organization in the development and implementation of its plans. Opportunities can vary from working in Tax, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, Investor Relations, & more.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate existing processes and, where appropriate, perform analysis to identify opportunities for further standardization, automation, and cost savings
Leverage system and technology knowledge to drive simplification efforts and work to eliminate/minimize non-value-added activities. Partner with SSC to get said improvements implemented across the group(s)
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Play a significant role in the development of monthly forecasts, annual plans, and longer-term strategic plan
Support key financial system implementations
Simplify processes and reduce cost through automation and standardization of routine FP&A exercises
Effectively prepare ‘executive summary’ versions of complex financial data
Support the communication between the Company and its investors
Support and assist with the development of Hubbell’s Strategic Plan
Work with all parties (both internal and external) in coordination of event logistics
Skills and Experience:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance preferred
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and PowerPoint), particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge of SAP, HFM and Blackline preferred
Gained knowledge of the industry as it pertains to the Hubbell business location
Experience in planning and organizational skills
Review current program activities to make recommendations for changes/improvement opportunities
Detailed roles and responsibilities will be outlined dependent on business Group, location and the project outlined
Analyze and make assessments of financial statements, and related metrics
Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial managers
