Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in our AWS Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fasted growing divisions within Amazon and be a part of a groundbreaking team. As a Finance Manager, you will work side by side with sales and finance leaders to develop business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights. You will be responsible to evaluate customer growth trends, drive productivity measurements, and identify paths to improve the overall resource planning and forecasting process. In addition, you will participate in developing best in class finance practice across AWS.
Primary responsibilities include: · Serve as the key finance partner supporting the Compute Specialized Sales leaders providing financial support and business insights; · Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making; · Develop productivity measurement for specialized sales organization; · Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction; · Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investments; · Lead revenue planning and alignment process with sales and service finance teams; · Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management.
The successful candidate will have proven experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter finance leader with long term vision, a keen attention to detail, strong data modeling skills, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has close interaction with executives and various service groups across AWS and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business judgment, desire to collaborate with others, and capability to independently drive business partnership.
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent
7+ years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced modeling skills including advanced Excel skills
Excellent business judgment, including strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in an energetic, fast-paced environment
Comfort with ambiguity and creative problem-solving
Ability to lead teams in a cross-functional setting
Highly innovative and flexible; ability to work with autonomy
