Structural Heart has the most complex product portfolio of any of the businesses in Med Devices and needs a strong finance person with medical device background to handle the large number of SKU as well as future launches. SH is also the most lean finance and operations organization and therefore requires a very driven individual to handle a very multi faceted role.
Supports the effective execution of financial business plans, by owning the process & systems and monitoring the financial progress / performance / efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Plays an important advisory role in business decisions to TWO General Managers
Builds strong regular communication with Finance Director APAC
Builds strong relationships internally within China, seen as a partner and also team player
Establishes and maintains local procedures and controls that guarantee integrity of assets and compliance with US and local GAAP and Abbott Policies and Procedures.
Transformative ability in using systems effectively and ensuring secondary information beyond just buy in is share
Handle many new product launches and liaise with many functional groups including handling OEC
Ensuring we manage with all the requirements of the larger BU of Vascular and CAHF and learning and leveraging what we can from them
Manage a small team
Monitor integrity of financials (e.g. regulatory/ compliance, and establishing and maintaining internal control environment)
Monitor account level information, secondary information, constantly review the business model
Drive development and preparation of solid financial business plans and analysis helping to ensure the Division delivers on its financial commitments. Explain thought process and analysis to senior management
Core responsibility of FP&A China and all accounting responsibility
Ensure the business plan (Plan/Update/LBE/LRP) is sound, achievable and without any significant disconnects and provide management with periodic, concise updates
Monitor the progress/performance/efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and make recommendations
Manage a small team of direct reports (2-4)
Advise GM and FD in areas of profit maximization, licensing/out licensing, resource prioritization, and day-to-day operations. Anticipate internal and external trends that can impact business
Provide leadership and build, maintain and develop Finance team
Provide leadership for wider business unit - seen as a collaborator and team player
