Abbott Diabetes Care Division is looking for Finance Planning and Analysis Manager EMEA (m/w/d)
This position provides financial leadership support to Area Commercial Operations team and regional Controllers via financial forecasting as well as business decision support and analysis for both ADC business lines (BGM and CGM). The role leads standard Area financial processes such as LBE planning cycles, month end reporting, and ensuring accurate and timely submissions. As FP&A Manager this responsibility will go beyond the technical consolidation of figures. It requires a true finance business partnering with commercial operations teams and supporting analysis requests by those teams..
This position will report to the ADC EMEA Assistant Controller and have significant interactions with Area Commercial Operations team and members of the ADC global finance teams, and the Regional/Country Finance teams.
Controlling and FP&A
Generate insights from financial data (regional and ADC HQ) and provide guidance to business based on this data and insights. Prepare, evaluate country / area performance and propose solutions for improvement to Area Controller.
Support Regional and Country Controllers with forecasting tools, best practice sharing and consulting on financial and analytical topics.
Provide financial guidance and lead the FreeStyle Libre commercial model forecasting, analysis, consolidation and updating of the Libre build up forecasting model.
Talent development - Responsible for training, developing and coaching the HQ FP&A team.
Lead and drive Planning, Reporting and Analysis consolidation processes for the region.
Review and analysis of monthly financial results for all regions. Prepare and communicate month end reporting packages with division finance team; HQ team, and Regional GM's / Directors.
Manage the EMEA HQ department planning and budgeting process between cross-functional teams and area Finance team. Lead business reviews with area controller and DVP.
Drive global Gross Margin improvement across EMEA and interact with Division Finance. Project tracking and consolidation and identify process improvements, cost reduction opportunities.
Assist EMEA Management through ad hoc reports and analysis for Division and Corporate in order to highlight risks and opportunities and to provide business related insights.
Education & Background Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or related discipline. Masters degree in business or finance preferred. ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
Proven track of record as a country/business unit controller
Understanding of the Divisional financial processes
Ability to interact with senior Leadership team
Prior Leadership and Managerial experience
Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with multi-dimensional reporting systems (e.g. Dodeca, Essbase), SAP, HFM and Excel
Fluent in English - fluency in a second language a plus
Cross cultural/international experience and a willingness/openness to international mobility
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong analytical skills as well as critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results
