The BI Analyst position is a key role within a new centralized analytics group that helps build the future of reporting and analytics for mission-critical areas around patient care and research. Within this role, you will be able to combine tech skills with problem solving and leadership to build the solutions our partner teams need to succeed.Â The ideal candidate is someone who can combine a strong SQL and visualization background (such as Tableau) with the ability to foster relationships with stakeholders in groups such as Clinical Operations, Revenue Cycle, Research Administration, Philanthropy, and Innovation.Â We are looking for individuals who can see the big picture, beyond individual projects. Work in partnership with your manager, your stakeholders and other analysts to deliver high quality Business Intelligence projects that provide valuable insights from a broad range of healthcare data using a variety of tools and techniques (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableau, R, etc.).Â
Build beautiful and thoughtful data visualizations using Tableau to accelerate information-to-action at scale and enable root cause problem solving.Â
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on their analytical needs.Â Follow projects through from initial exploratory conversations to final project release (an internal consultant approach).Â Â
Serve as a critical link between the data engineering and internal stakeholders.Â Work cross-functionally both upstream and downstream.
Maintain department and Institute-level KPIs.Â Shape multi-quarter agenda to ensure we are best serving the needs of our stakeholder teams.Â
Bachelorâ€™s degree in statistics, information technology, mathematics, public health, or related domain.Â
1+ years of experience in Analytics or Business Intelligence performing quantitative analysis with one year in healthcare or life sciences.Â Â
Experience translating business needs into technical requirements to build and transform data into valuable, easy to understand insights.Â
Proficient at writing complex SQL queries that blend data for analysis, visualization, and reporting.Â
Hands on experience building data visualizations (preferably Tableau) to communicate complex ideas and enable data-driven decision making at all levels of the organization.Â
Demonstrated ability and interest to learn new technologies Â
Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.Â
Superior interpersonal and communication skills and a history of effectively working and communicating with all levels of internal and external technical and non-technical staff.Â Â
