The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for general ledger maintenance and supervision of preparation of all financial statements for all affiliate groups supported by Cedars-Sinai Medical Network. Ensures timely and accurate completion of all account reconciliations each month for each reporting entity. Takes the lead role in all analyses and supporting documents needed to support internal and external audits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising the preparation of all stand-alone affiliate monthly financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Performs supervisory accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles and practices.
Supervises all GL activity for each affiliate group.
Is responsible for the preparation and input of all monthly journal entries.
Performs financial analysis of operations.
Supervises and assists with all monthly account and bank reconciliations for stand-alone entities.
Provides high level assistance with tax filings and audit work papers for both internal and external auditors as needed.
Participates in professional development activities.
Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and corporate financial records.
Manages and grow staff to ensure they have the skills vital for optimum performance.
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Healthcare Administration preferred.
CPA highly preferred.
Seven to ten (7 - 10) years of work experience in a healthcare accounting or finance department required.
Strong supervision and prior leadership skills.
Healthcare financial management experience is highly preferred.
