We are looking for a senior specialist financial modeller / M&A analyst with Big 4 transaction services accountancy firm experience, to create bespoke, complex, financial models in MS Excel for our clients, working as part of the modelling team. The role will be home based, with occasional travel to Great Portland Street, London once COVID-19 restrictions have lifted.
Create bespoke integrated 3 statement financial forecast models and maintenance of existing client models.
Abstraction of client business model, marketing strategies, sales process and revenue generation and ability to define and model using appropriate MS Excel formulae.
Modelling of equity, debt and M&A transactions.
Audit business models built by junior team members. Assist and direct junior team members.
Research and analysis of industry specific market data, venture capital data and analyst reports.
Work with internal teams to gather input and validate outputs.
Manage and present in client meetings for fact finding, and presentation of prepared models.
Project management of ongoing transactions.
Key skills required:
Bachelor degree in mathematics, accountancy or business.
Fluent in Excel with knowledge of advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH, IFS, SUMPRODUCT, XIRR and experience of advanced excel charting and analysis tools.
2+ years' experience in financial modelling in transaction services.
Experience of financial modelling for Big 4 accountancy firm or similar.
Knowledge of technology industries.
Experience of working for corporate finance company beneficial.
Attention to detail and accuracy, but able to construct models quickly.
Adequate space with desk/workstation, chair and secure paper filing storage with suitable lighting and heating/cooling to be used for working at home.
Ability to be able to manage time and non-office work distractions whilst working from home. Ability to work on own initiative under time pressure.
