| Our client, a leading international asset manager, is looking for a Global Head of Finance Technology. This is a technology leadership role with accountability for the full product management lifecycle of a new suite of products as well as the team responsible for delivering it. It is a high profile role and you will be working with business leaders and partners across the organisation (to C-level) and will need strong business and technology experience in the finance domain to be successful in this role. You will have worked previously in an Agile organisation, will have a strong understanding of product management, and the ability to lead, develop and inspire an Agile delivery team of analysts, SMEs, developers, architects and data analysts. You must have previous and current experience with SAP, will have led implementations/upgrades/migrations, and will have been involved in a related cloud transition. You will also have worked previously in a global organisation, as you will need deep working knowledge of SOX (and will have worked closely with external auditors in this respect). It is important to note that this role is to lead a global finance technology department. Our client requires someone who has experience leading such a department. Whilst there are important skills to bring to the role (SAP, SOX, etc) it is also essential that these skills have been gained in the wider context of department management and team management. You will be the thought and people leader for this area, and as our client continues their product-centric Agile transformation you will innovate, design and deliver a whole suite of new finance products for business partners. Specific asset management industry experience is not required, but it is essential that you come from a financial services background in order to understand the business and the regulations that govern it. It is also essential that you have previous experience managing a department that encompasses finance systems/technology. |
