Financial Analyst - Medical Center Finance

Full-time employment in the School of Medicine/SLUCare Finance department will offer an opportunity to work on important business projects, collaborate with experienced managers and executive team members to provide critical deliverables for the organization. The Analyst will gain hands-on experience creating real business solutions while utilizing project management skills, interpersonal skills, and field-specific knowledge.  The Analyst will report to the Associate Dean of Finance, CFO, or their designee.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Accumulate accurate cost information for critical legal agreements and SLUCare Compensation plan
• Performs financial modeling for significant legal agreement (Academic Affiliation Agreement) and SLUCare Compensation Plan
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and gaps in processes pertaining to contract evaluation (e.g. SLUCare business manager education/training and implementation of process/controls), develops recommendations and implements solutions.
• Supports the Finance CFO, or their designee, and Financial Analysis Manager by driving interactions and project management closure on open items from SLUCare Business Managers
• Drives reporting and analytics requests at the direction of the  Finance CFO and Financial Analysis Manager
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports/analyses using financial and productivity data (related to contract services)
  • Using productivity benchmark data, builds and understands performance in comparison to benchmarks
  • Understands financial proformas; and works with finance team to validate proformas submitted are based on complete and accurate data
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Adept at Excel and other Microsoft Office products; additionally, experience with Tableau and Alteryx would be preferred
•  Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related field, supplemented with 0-3 years of related work experience.
• Experience analyzing data, performing routine and ad hoc reporting and strong independent work ethic
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship
