Primary duties and responsibilities are to perform a variety of accounting duties, preparing and managing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations.
â¢ Assist with maintenance of subsidiary schedules of accounts to control balances in ledger, such as, but not limited to:
â¢ Deposits and transfers
â¢ Credit card reconciliations
â¢ System payment reconciliations
â¢ Reviews bank statements and assists with the monthly reconciliation of bank account balances with transactions recorded in the general ledger, external systems, internal systems and other sources
â¢ Heavy data research through MS Excel (intermediate to advance excel preferred)
â¢ Process high-volume of documents, reports and records
â¢ Research, track and resolve accounting discrepancies
â¢ Perform various special accounting related assignments as necessary
Minimum Education:â¢B/A or B/S Degree in Accounting, or similar education and coursework. Experience may substitute for educationMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.â¢Ability to manipulate large spreadsheets, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Macrosâ¢Fundamental knowledge of GAAPâ¢Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.â¢Deadline and detail-orientedâ¢Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.â¢Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills.â¢Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.â¢Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math.â¢Ability to work independently and as part of a team.â¢Excellent report writing, communication and IT skills.â¢Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages.â¢Strong written and verbal commutation skills along with ability to priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervisionâ¢Must be able to apply principle of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.â¢University and Healthcare experience a plus.
