Finance Manager - Decision Support

Summary

The Manager of Decision Support will be responsible for the monthly costing process and analytics. They will be mainly responsible for the day-to-day operations related to the monthly close process of the Strata Decision Support System, working closely with other teams across finance & accounting to optimize the system. They are responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the delivery of monthly/annually deliverables including but not limited to RVU files, Financial Statement Reconciliation Reports, Indirect Allocation Structure, Department Master Files and Allocations.

• Responsible for the overall accuracy of the decision support data, working with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure the system is set up appropriately and provides accurate, actionable data for users.

• Involvement in large scale projects which will engage the various service line leads to review their costing process and data accuracy on an ongoing basis.

• Effectively manage the Decision Support Financial Analyst team and their associated projects to meet deadlines, education and overall involvement. This individual should provide project oversight and is responsible for the appropriate time management and work distribution for their staff members.

• Will be involved with numerous ongoing projects relating to the identification of cost saving opportunities, physician resource utilization analysis, quality/cost analysis, and dashboard creation within the costing tool and Tableau. An individual with a visual analytics background would be beneficial.   

• The Manager of Decision Support will also be involved as needed in the organizations Value Based Management initiative which the decision support team is an integral part of the overall strategy

• Involved in many analytic requests that come from throughout the health system.

• Support for Supply Chain Services with requests ranging from operational support to analytics around supply trends and usage.

Qualifications:

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent

Experience - 7 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in managing various business and financial functions, including policy/procedure development and financial analysis management or supervisory skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - Master's Degree or post graduate business certification

Experience - healthcare related
