Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations, research fund oversight, and standard financial software (e.g. Excel)
Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage multiple complex activities in a time-sensitive environment.
Experience negotiating with senior financial officers at organizational level on behalf of local interests
Demonstrated success hiring, training, mentoring, and retaining a team, and in fostering a productive and inclusive work environment
Advanced relevant degree, e.g. MBA
Experience in academic research administration and complex grants management
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Creative and effective in designing, implementing and maintaining effective systems for financial operations and practices.
