In order to support our growing business, we are continuously looking for talented and highly motivated Interns (m/f/d) Trade & Export Finance team in Frankfurt for a period of 4-6 months starting January 2021 This internship will provide you with a unique place to acquire deep insight on corporate and financial markets. Therefore, it constitutes a gateway for international opportunities. You will join a multi-cultural team with substantial exposure to banking units across all continents and you will work on projects across our European client base: - Assisting the Head of Private Debt Mobilization, Global Transaction Banking for Continental Europe in structuring risk mitigation solutions for new business opportunities
- Working on the distribution of specific risks with international bank and insurance partners by preparing presentations and documentation
- Supporting strategic portfolio management initiatives by analysing cost and portfolio structures and doing research
- Liaising and coordinating many phases of the business development along with other departments (product specialists, client coverage, Middle and Back Office, risk analysts, compliance, legal)
Requirements - Strong academic track record (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics)
- First work experience gained (preferably in activities related to Transaction Banking, Trade ECA Finance or M&A) or a passion for financial concepts and strategic thinking
- Motivated, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, a team player
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English and fluent in German and/or Spanish. Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to Banco Santander's high ethical standards
- Excellent skills in using all Microsoft programs and mainly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Debt Domain would be helpful
