Bookkeeping and Accountancy [c.40% of the time]
Application of SAGE accounting software;
Preparation of quarterly management accounts for the Board;
Preparation of annual accounts for audit;
Liaising with the Auditors and the Board;
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and online submission;
Budget preparation for the Board and annual ICAAP filing.
Processing of company invoices;
Processing of individual expense reclaims;
Managing the company's bank accounts and credit cards;
Liaising with the company's banks;
Reviewing corporation tax returns;
Liaising with tax advisers where appropriate.
FCA Gabriel filings [two filings per year]
Preparation of yearly and half-yearly financial reports for online filing (including financials, capital adequacy, close links report, controllers report etc).
Salaries and Human Resources [c.15%]
Liaising with FMP Global re monthly salary preparation;
Preparation of P11Ds and PSA;
Processing of annual HMRC Option return;
Administration of company Pension Scheme;
Administration of company Health Care Scheme.
Company Secretarial and Other [c.5%]
File Annual Confirmation Statements;
Assisting Board on Company Secretarial matters when requested.
The ideal candidate will:
be a qualified Accountant with at least 7 years' experience in bookkeeping and corporate finance, ideally in asset or investment management;
have solid analytical skills and excellent attention to detail;
have effective communication and presentation skills;
be comfortable working within a small, fast-paced financial services firm.
Legal, compliance and / or tax experience is a plus.
£75k p.a. + (full-time equivalent). Subject to experience.
