Reporting to the Executive Dean, the Associate Dean of Finance and Chief Financial Officer serves as an integral member of the Radcliffe Institute's senior management team in setting and executing the overall financial management strategy for the Institute. A key member of the senior management team, the Associate Dean for Finance/CFO acts as a senior advisor on matters related to strategic planning, long-range financial planning, risk management and represents the Institute at the University level. The Associate Dean for Finance/CFO is responsible for the provision of superior financial services, accurate and timely financial reporting, and compliance with University financial policies and internal controls and applicable legal rules and regulations. Maintains a strong organization with appropriate levels of accuracy, responsiveness, quality, efficiency, and professionalism. As a strategic business partner and sounding board to the Executive Dean and senior leadership team, the Associate Dean for Finance/CFO makes a significant impact by improving operational efficiencies to support the continued growth of the Institute.

The incumbent in this position will have exceptional strategic thinking, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation skills and gain trust and credibility with the larger internal and external stakeholder audience. Must possess solid analytical skills, the ability to design and implement complex financial models; and financial control systems, policies, and procedures. Strong understanding of multiple funding sources, including gifts endowments, restricted fund accounting principles is preferred. Must have strong collaboration and communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders with non-financial backgrounds, and a commitment to customer support. A highly organized and self-directed approach to work. Active listener who is open to new concepts and ideas, able to synthesize complex issues, and provide clarity to others. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work successfully under deadlines. Experience in an institution of higher education is preferred.
