Working both independently and as a member of the HAPPI Business Operations team, this position is responsible for the financial management of all funding sources for the assigned units served by the business center. This individual will work closely with administrators, faculty and staff to ensure proper procedures are followed regarding the funding source. Serve as a resource for faculty regarding budgets/expenditures to ensure accuracy relative to budget, availability and allowance which includes funding restrictions. Provide business support and provide backup for other business center staff as assigned. Ensuring that purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing card reconciliation, travel, and E-commerce functions are performed in accordance with UNL's guidelines. Be a resource to administrators, faculty and staff on such guidelines.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field plus two (2) years' experience in any combination of accounting, grants/contracts, financial, business, or business/information management; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Work history will show experience with general accounting, financial reporting practices and customer service. Understanding of large integrated financial management systems and skilled with PC-based spreadsheet and word-processing software programs necessary. Experience with project accounting, grants, budgeting, travel, and personnel/payroll. Skilled in business management, communication and strong public relations. Must be proficient with email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of UNL and SAP; database software program skills; strong problem solving, decision making, and planning skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Posted Salary: $19.645/hr minimum
