This is a critical role within GPS directly partnering with Global Engineering and Facilities and Strategy and Business Operations in GPS, and indirectly with Global Procurement and multiple Global Finance Business Units (i.e. Commercial Markets, Treasury, CFR, R&ED, IT); the role will be located in central New Jersey.
The individual will drive consolidation and analysis for total Company Capital (annual budget +$1 Billion), provide Integrated Facilities Management financial support, and enable strategic decision making for GPS’ Strategy and Business Operations (SBO) function.
In addition, the incumbent will drive Continuous Improvement and Company Integration related initiatives, including Value Capture, and provide strategic support to Empliciti Go Team.
Supports VP, Global Engineering and Facilities by consolidating, analyzing and reporting total company Capital book of work (+$1B annually), and preparing 3-year Capital Plan.
Acts as critical Business Partner to VP, SBO in preparation, analysis and presentation of financial projections and budgets
Owns ongoing ownership of monthly/quarterly closing requirements, including preparation of journal entries, variance analysis with key commentary, and preparation of monthly financial reports
Represents GPS Finance as the primary point of contact for the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract
Helps drive further standardization and optimization of processes, including identification and enablement of value capture initiatives
Maintains internal control environment to the highest standards of compliance and integrity
Ensures compliance with all BMS policies and guidelines for business performance and reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred
Minimum 5-7 years diversified experience in accounting and finance
Experience with development of annual business plan/budget, financial projections and operations expense management preferred
Strong working knowledge of general ledger and budgeting systems required – in both SAP and Oracle suites (including SAP BI/BW; RPM, OBIEE), TM1 and Hyperion are strongly preferred
High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
Strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls, strong financial and analytical skills required as well as excellent business partnering abilities required
Strong communication, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Must be team oriented and have ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment working with multiple levels of management and partners in various geographic locations
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to make decisions independently
Ability to manage multiple tasks and be able to work with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and requests.
