UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) is continuously seeking applicants to assist in filling the temporary needs of the UC Irvine Campus in Irvine and the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates
We are seeking applicants with education or related work experience for financial and administrative management temporary positions.
Duties may include management of major federal and private contracts and grants as well as other extramural funds. Incumbent may have independent decision making authority, policy analysis and interpretation and independent problem solving responsibilities that requires on-going interaction with all levels of university agencies faculty and staff.
The incumbent may be responsible for the accounts, including monthly reconciliation and review and analysis of expenditures, accounting reconciliation, among other duties. Incumbent is responsible for providing specific direction to faculty and staff to assure compliance with recent revisions to contract and grant costing principals. Knowledge is required in: agency specific contracts and grants policies; material management to include purchasing and equipment acquisition principles; personnel/payroll policies and procedures; gift administration; recharge principles; research subcontracting concepts; indirect cost principles; policies and practices related to Federal requirements.
* This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department.
* To be a viable candidate for the temporary employment program, you must be able to start employment within 1 to 2 days after temporary employment is offered
* Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate matches the requirements, and a fit to the assignment.
* TES is constantly seeking applicants although there may not be the immediate need to interview or hire.
The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., however, we also have occasional part-time, weekend and evening hours available. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
Positions and hourly rate most commonly vary from $19.54 to $23.58 or more depending on responsibilities and/or skill requirements of the position assigned to.
Salary: Ranges depending on the classification of the temporary assignment.
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F (Hours may vary)
