UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Analyst, UW Medicine Finance. This individual will perform analysis to support the financial decision making of the organization as well as to assist in the management/reduction of operating costs of UW Medicine through reporting and analysis to ensure the long-term profitability of UW Medicine.
Performs professional financial and budget analysis for UW Medicine to support optimal decision-making and cost management.
Completes the monthly reporting process of budget to actual performance including operational statistical reporting.
Completes and submits financial surveys, productivity and benchmarking analysis.
Provides analysis leveraging Encounter based reporting tools.
Assists in the creation of the annual operating budget.
Conducts financial analysis of new programs as well as existing programs.
Supports the development and reporting of UW Medicine Patients are First finance goals.
Supports the development of the multi-year financial and capital plans.
Provides reports and interpretations of analytical results to Finance Management and Hospital Administration.
Provides other financial analysis as required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting AND at least four years of experience in professional financial analysis.
Progressively more responsible experience in finance, experience with financial/budget planning preferred. Healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to prepare complex financial analysis and interpretations with high degree of accuracy.
Proven analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
Proficiency with Excel, Access and report writers. SQL proficiency preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Ability to formulate recommendations and interpret financial information.
Ability to work independently with a minimum level of supervision.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
