UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Analyst. This individual will perform analysis to support the financial decision making of the organization as well as to assist in the optimal management of operating costs of Harborview Medical Center through budget development, reporting, and analysis.
Monthly reporting of variance including meeting with managers
Build Annual update of LRFP incorporating Executive assumptions with oversight from Budget Director.
Support System Integration including testing and design.
Lead and collaborate change management to ensure reporting is useful, reliable, and timely.
Ensure managers are oriented to Finance reports. Deliver necessary ongoing training.
Perform other duties as assigned. Provide other financial analysis as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting AND at least four years experience in financial analysis.
Progressively more responsible experience in finance, experience with financial/budget planning preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to prepare complex financial analysis and interpretations with high degree of accuracy.
Proven analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
Proficiency working with financial computer applications, such as Excel, Access and Word.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Ability to formulate recommendations and interpret financial information.
Ability to work independently with a minimum level of supervision.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
