Penfield Central School District seeks an experienced administrator to be the next Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance. The Assistant Superintendent for Business reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools and provides leadership and strategic vision for capital planning, budgeting, financial management, business operations, district partnerships and votes. Responsible for financial and accounting operations, purchasing, payroll, facilities operation and maintenance, risk management, internal & external audit processes, transportation and food services.
Planning and Programming- staying abreast of local, regional and national trends, anticipating and responding to financial needs, resource management
Financial Management and Strategic Planning- long-range financial planning, managing bonds and investments, ensuring compliance with budget process and financial matters, compiles data and does research and analysis as needed by the superintendent or board of education
Policy Formulation and Guidance- develops and reviews board policies to implement district goals and objectives
Contract Administration- administers external contracts, develops and implements service agreements, coordinates legal evaluation of contracts and agreements
Supervisory Responsibilities- Supervision of business office staff and directors of Buildings & Grounds, Food Service & Transportation
The following qualifications are required:
Leadership experience in a school setting.
Successful experience with financial management and business operations.
Master’s degree or higher in business, financial management or related field.
NYS Certification as School Business Leader/Administrator or School District Leader/Administrator.
