Unit-specific Responsibilities 1) Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of Finance, this position provides financial and accounting support to the Department of Pediatrics 2) Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial results by identifying and processing journal entries and payroll transfers, when necessary 3) Performs Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and billing 4) Responsible for monitoring and approving expense reimbursements. 5) Provides analytical support for routine budget projects 6) Monthly monitors the financial statements by reviewing reports and accounting records to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified 7) May be involved in long-range financial planning 8) Complete ad hoc reporting/analysis and miscellaneous other tasks as needed 9) Reporting/analysis for the Department of Pediatrics, including report generation, analysis, projections, and verification of accuracy of financial information 10) Ad hoc reporting/financial analysis as needed by Sr. Director of Finance and/or Executive Administrator 11) Participation in the creation of the annual operating budget 12) Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and billing
Preferred Qualifications Education 1) Bachelor's degree 2) Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
Experience 1) A minimum of three years of accounting, finance, or equivalent experience strongly preferred 2) Experience working in a University setting 3) Financial modeling experience
