Accurate data aboutclients, products, and prices as well as other information is critical forevery transaction, from making a loan to an individual to executing aderivative trade with a large institution. High quality data isfundamental for daily operations, managing capital and liquidity, and providingtransparency to shareholders and financial markets.
GlobalReference Data Operations (GRDO) is a group within Firm wide Data Management. GRDOconsists of over 800 staff globally and services all businesses within theFirm. Our team enables the company to evolve to a more integrated datamanagement strategy, which is globally consistent and supports business,finance, risk and regulatory requirements. Data is sourced, validated, masteredand distributed via the Firm's strategic architecture. Our reference dataprocesses and systems are managed by several teams. To support ourgrowth, the Firm has established an additional location in Poland for atechnology and operations team that will be responsible for managing enterprisereference data, including Client, Product, Pricing, Financial, Instrument, andCommon reference data.
Responsibilityof the Analyst will be:
To maintain External Party Reference Data within the Client Central repository by onboarding new Clients, updating amendments, hierarchy changes, static data updates, mergers and deactivations within specified timelines
To ensure requests actioned are only received from authorized sources and are clearly understood prior any action
To ensure that all static / reference data is accurately maintained on the system post performing quality checks
Ensure the procedural guidelines are followed & supporting documentation validated prior to action
Handling and monitoring issue and query mails and escalating issues promptly to the Team Leader
A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through
Relationship Management: to communicate with internal business partners on a frequent basis and to manage business partner expectations and build a good rapport
Data analysis / research and remediation function as per requirements
Maintain MIS report as required
Maintain accurate volumes / productivity
Participate/Coordinate in special projects such as; data clean up, process improvement analysis, metrics reporting
Experience in financial services or related industries will be a plus
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Proficient in MS Excel
Basic Knowledge or work experience in financial industry
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Good Analytical Skills
Attention to Detail
Should be able to deliver as a part of the team
