The group currently consists of 11 professionals located in Toronto and New York.
The Project and Infrastructure Finance group is a part of National Bank of Canada's Financial Markets business line, reporting to its Fixed Income platform. The group is the preeminent dealer in the Canadian project finance market advising, arranging and underwriting project financings in the infrastructure and power sectors. NBF is widely considered a leading top project finance bond arranger and financial advisor in Canada and has successfully established a strong US presence over the past 24 months.
The Analyst, Project and Infrastructure Finance position at NBF will appeal to highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing an opportunity in an entrepreneurial and high-energy environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
As an Analyst, the individual is expected to actively participate in a wide variety of transactions with a primary focus on infrastructure finance and power project finance opportunities.
The individual will be involved in:
Raising of capital from the public and private capital markets
Supporting due diligence that includes liaising with external consultants
Assist in preparing and reviewing project finance financial models
Preparing materials and presentations to clients
Assist in providing advisory services
Performing industry research and analysis
Emphasis is placed on analysis, financial modeling and written presentations, but candidates must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with relevant project finance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with LLB or engineering degrees can be considered
