Interpret regulations and guidelines of multiple programs funding with complex and broad guidelines for spending;
Develop and implement Growth Lab processes for effective financial operations, administration and risk management, including international activities and export controls, in close partnership with the HKS Research Administration Office, Harvard's Office of Sponsored Programs, Global Support Services and Office of General Counsel, as needed;
Ensure compliance with the Committee on the Use of Human Subjects regulations, the EU General Data Protection Regulations, and internal data security processes. Act as resource to faculty, fellows, and staff on University processes for human subjects protection and data security;
Work with a broad group of internal stakeholders to oversee the development of the Growth Lab's data management processes and policies to meet research needs and uphold agreed-upon and school-wide security standards;
Lead the audit of individual sponsored accounts to ensure compliance with University and sponsored regulations;
Serve as the liaison with Office of Financial Services and Research Administration Office and attend regular financial managers group meetings and research administration meetings; and
Lead by example in a manner that sets a high bar of performance and provides staff with exemplary financial and administrative support.
This is a benefits eligible term appointment for 2 years from date of hire, with strong possibility of renewal
