Lead the credit process by managing credit team resources to produce consistently high quality credit application and analysis within challenging time frames; taking responsibility for the management of credit risk in association of the commodity trade finance portfolio.
Manage a portfolio of complex credit accounts directly, which will require in depth sector analysis, running and interpreting complex financials models, to assess credit risks.
Collaborate with internal counterparts to develop compromise solutions, for challenging credit cases.
Contribute to the development, adaptation and application of policy, procedures and analysis to ensure a relevant, compliant and rigorous approach to the management of any risk which can negatively affect the portfolio.
Liaise with internal counterparts throughout MUFG and with external counterparts at clients to gather relevant information to support decision making and planning.
Manage team member's performance, coach and guide as required to ensure appropriate development in order to achieve high performance from team members.
Attend external forums and events to keep abreast of relevant regulatory, economic, political and other developments.
To comply with relevant MAS regulations and applicable MUFG risk and compliance requirement.
Degree in business or finance, or accounting with 5 years of working experience in banking
At least 2-3 years of working experience in commodity finance or natural resources segment.
Strong credit background and knowledge in trade finance with ability to work independently.
Able to work efficiently and in a well-organized manner.
Experience in managing junior staff is a plus.
