Campus Business & HCM Operations Manager, Finance & Business Services - Georgetown University Office of the Provost
The Office of the Provost, Finance & Business Services is responsible for the overall financial and business administration of the units that report to the Provost, which includes developing the annual Main Campus budget, developing and administering fiscal policies and procedures, and providing guidance to Main Campus units and senior management in support of executive level decisions.
The Campus Business & HCM Operations Manager position aids in the overall business administration of certain operating units of the Main Campus. Reporting to the Campus Director for Financial Operations, the CBM will provide a broad range of customer service, operational and financial support by serving as the Financial Reviewer and Cost Center Buyer within GMS Financials for the Main Campus. The CBM will also serve as the Human Resources Contact (HRC) for select areas within the Main Campus. In addition to serving as the primary resource regarding interpretations of Main Campus and University policies and procedures, this position will also participate in financial reconciliations, performance monitoring, analysis and problem resolution involving financial, administrative, and policy matters affecting Main Campus
The Manager is an integral part of the Office of the Provost, Finance & Business Services, with duties including but not limited to:
Review and record financial transactions for Academic Support Units.
Process and execute contracts, requisitions, purchase orders, journal transfer, and expense and travel reimbursements for Academic Support Units.
Perform account reconciliation and periodic reporting of metrics and assessment of data integrity.
Serve as a resource regarding Main Campus HR and Payroll policies and processes.
Run reports to reveal initiation errors on a routine basis, including but not limited to costing allocation override end dates related to sponsored funding; following up to ensure issues are addressed.
Respond to requests for data and reports as needed. Run routine audit reports on a quarterly basis.
4 to 5 years of experience in accounting, purchasing and expense reporting, performing account reconciliations etc.
Knowledge of HCM operations will be a plus.
This position requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with little supervision.
