As a Senior Director of Finance You Will:
Report to the Associate Vice President, Finance, and with accountability to the Vice President, Clinical Services, incumbent will serve as the financial principle and business partner with respect to the development and execution of the strategic financial agenda for the Montefiore Faculty Practice Group, which consist of multiple faculty practices and specialty sites. The Senior Director will work very closely with the clinical department chairs and administrators/directors to advance strategic goals and ensure financial alignment across the organization.
Overall, the position will work under the direction of the Vice President, Clinical Services, to develop consistent and reliable financial and operational reports across all faculty departments, covering both expense management and revenue generation in order to ensure that the Montefiore Health System’s goals relating to Efficiency, Quality and Growth are carried out. Further, the incumbent will develop effective and innovative strategies for identifying improvement solutions that will positively impact the faculty practice’s financial results. Responsibilities include - develop operational financial reporting capabilities, gain buy-in from key operating partners, and enable data-driven decisions throughout the Faculty Practice economy by assisting administrators and the operations team in interpreting financial data. This individual will also be responsible for the monthly financial statements for the Faculty Practice including implementation of policies and procedures to help ensure that financial statements are produced at the right level on a monthly basis on the accrual basis of accounting. The Senior Director will serves as a consultant to Montefiore's Faculty Practice management team. Moreover, the incumbent will work with the department leadership to identify opportunities for financial improvement, and to implement these in an efficient and effective manner. The Senior Director will foster partnerships across the enterprise to develop and drive value-added services that will advance the mission.
Areas of opportunities position is expected to handle:
Creating a standard set of income-statements that can be applied at an institutional, department, practice and individual physician level. Need ability to understand details that drive both revenue and expense at the above levels, and produce reports that identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Also, need to create standard, universal analytical tools for items such as new faculty / physician recruitment, practice acquisitions, new business development, and other items that need to show a return on an investment of institutional resources. The incumbent needs to a high-level collaborator with FPG and departmental leadership alike. The position will serve as a key member of the FPG leadership team.
As a Senior Director of Finance You Will Need:
Experience with academic medical center environment generally, and with large physician organization / operation specifically.
