Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company’s shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.
Financial Controls & Oversight Consultant
The Accounting Operations Group is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for ensuring the Accounting Operations Group is in compliance with the implementation and execution of the data owner requirements as prescribed by the Wells Fargo Governance and Oversight Framework (G&O) and Enterprise Data Governance Policy for all processes within the Accounting Operations Group which are focused on a wide array of products and processes across numerous legal entities and subsystems. Additionally, the position will ensure Accounting Operations has appropriate processes in place to comply with various corporate wide policies, including but not limited to, the COSO Policy, EUCT Policy, Issue Management Policy, BPM Program, BCP Policy and other Risk programs. Systems utilized will include Wallstreet Suite, Simcorp Dimension, CARD, CEO, Hogan, Oracle GL and other general ledger applications.
The candidate should possess a general knowledge of the data owner components of the Governance & Oversight Framework, a general knowledge of all G&O components, and a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and controls supporting financial and regulatory reporting. The position will be responsible for identifying training opportunities and assist in providing business partner training as control findings warrant. The candidate should be an independent thinker, self-starter and capable of leading. Individual should have strong communication skills as frequent interaction is required with numerous business partners.
This position will require the ability to successfully perform multiple work functions in a fast-paced environment and to assist with a variety of projects/initiatives in support of corporate goals and initiatives. This position will also be required to successfully partner with multiple business groups.
Experience conducting project meetings, presentations and status reporting
Big four consulting experience
Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards or scorecards
Financial Controls & Oversight Consultant
4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting or business/technology audit; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, or Business and
2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting or business/technology audit
Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
CPA and/or MBA preferred
Audit or internal control testing experience preferred
