Position will lead, guide and direct four department managers and ten additional employees in functional areas of responsibility and ensure ongoing professional development of employees. Directs and oversees IT, Purchasing and Accounting departments in a complex manufacturing environment that includes Assembly, Engineering, Sales & Service profit centers. Responsible for directing the fiscal and controlling functions of the corporation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, both U.S. and German GAAP, and cost accounting principles adhering to standards of Hauni Richmond, BA Tobacco, and Koerber Group.
Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statement, balance sheet, reports to shareholder, tax returns, and reports to government regulatory agencies
Evaluate and analyze cost and profit reports for all product lines and total organization guiding the planning and budgeting for sales, cost controlling, and income in the organization
Provide direction and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., financial impacts including pricing, production cost and overall cost structure of the organization
Oversee budget work-up for the next year, and perpetually monitor figures to ensure financial goals are met
Responsible for oversight of all internal and external audits
Oversee and direct the company’s pension fund and 40l(k) plan and ensure that all legal requirements are met, including 5500 governmental reports
Handle Euro and USD banking, monitor cash pooling and perform regular analysis of accounts payable and receivable. Purchase foreign currency hedges and trigger trades when due
Develop a reliable cash flow projection and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs of the company
Ensure a secure and customer oriented IT environment according to BA Tobacco and Koerber standards for technology and security
Proactively monitor IT including all servers, network equipment, back-up devices and internet connections to ensure minimal downtime for users
Oversee inventory levels to maintain enough stock to support customer needs but balanced against keeping inventory as low as possible
Ensure an optimized and cost efficient procurement process and monitor the performance of vendors and improvement progress on a regular basis.
Prepare, present and answer questions on financial information at semi-annual board meetings
Oversee export control function on any shipments to foreign countries
Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; MBA and CPA desirable
Eight to ten years of hands-on finance and cost experience with five years managerial experience
SAP experience highly desirable, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software systems. Knowledge of foreign currency trading
Experience in financial reporting and analysis including general ledger, income projections, balance sheets, cash projections and product line reporting
Excellent communications skills, personal and professional ability to lead people and managers. Strong analytical ability with results-driven focus
