Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer responsible for the Department of Neurological Surgery's fiscal related matters including budgeting, financial analysis, contracts and grants, and post award management Funding sources include general funds, federal/state contracts and grants, private gifts and grants, clinical trials, start-up funds, clinical revenue model funds, professional fees, and sales service income. Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and Chair, incumbent provides high level policy analysis and interpretation and performs independent problem solving that requires interaction with, Physicians, Principal Investigators, laboratory staff and various levels of accounting and sponsored projects personnel. Strategizes and recommends innovative fiscal solutions to the Administrator. Under the general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and Chair, incumbent is responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting on all account funds, budgeting, projections and fiscal close functions. Establishes and maintains complex financial control and reporting systems.
