Description: Citi is seeking a Risk and Control Analyst to join the Leveraged Finance CMO team within Banking, Capital Markets & Advisory (BCMA). BCMA is comprised of over 20 different groups, many of which are hybrids between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading. This unique mix of groups drives the fixed income and equities markets by providing products and liquidity for our clients. Typical responsibilities of BCMA includes managing overall fixed income and equity relationships as well as dialogue with corporate clients; originating, marketing, structuring and executing fixed income and equity transactions.
The BCMA Risk and Control Analyst will primarily assist the Global Loan origination deal teams with the processing of loans from initiation through approval, syndication and closing.
Key Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that the loans are properly recorded in the business' pipeline tracking system as well as the credit risk systems of the bank and that they are updated promptly as the deal progresses.
Coordinating closing logistics with the deal teams, Loan Operations, counsel, etc.
Notifying key parties about pending changes to deal or timing.
Ensuring that approvals and all required documentation are complete prior to deal closing.
Assisting deal teams with time sensitive, ad hoc deal related issues, and reporting requirements.
Managing North American Bookrunner League Table submission and reconciliation.
Working with Technology to enhance front-end business systems.
Assisting with High Yield and Loan P&L review process.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree focused on Business, Accounting or Mathematics related
At least 1 year of experience in a similar environment
Prior loan experience preferred, but not required
Strong interest in the capital markets and loan syndications.
Strong analytical skills (e.g. economics, finance, accounting, mathematics or similar background)
Strong organization and computer skills (excel, word, and PowerPoint)
Excellent follow up skills and the ability to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced environment
A team player with strong interpersonal skills
Applicable licenses: Series 7, 79, & 63 will be required within 3 months.
