Our client is a large recently privatised electricity grid owner. This is an exciting time for the business with the new global fund manager owners focused on growth. The corporate finance function reviews all investment or value creating decisions and the impact on the business, translating that to the senior leadership team and shareholders.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Investor Relations, the responsibilities will be as follows:
Maintain / update the Corporate Valuation Model at the company and business unit level explaining and providing scenario analysis on value changes and key drivers;
Conduct financial / feasibility analysis, producing investment papers for the board for large capital investments;
Investor Relations – liaising with security holders on a regular basis related to company valuation, distributions and ad hoc analysis;
Regulatory Analysis - Review and give views related to financial models provided by the Australian Energy Regulator;
Ad hoc analysis as requested: credit ratings models, refinance modelling, various other investment decision analysis within the company.
This will suit someone who has corporate finance/investment banking analysis skills. You will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, likely from a corporate finance/deals modelling background, investment banking, infrastructure funds or potentially as an infrastructure focused equities analyst.
