Responsible for managing the following finance functions, but is not limited to: annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting, and other special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the following duties for the client and CBRE; budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting. Establishes overall departmental priorities and ensures that all deadlines are met.Prepares final recommendations for budget and forecast to client and internal finance leadership.Ensures complete knowledge of monthly results. Assists in presentation of results to senior account and finance management.Responsible for special projects and presentations to senior management. Business partner with Alliance Director.Leadership will include development and constantly evaluating department needs versus existing staffing levels/quality.Will be integral in financial infrastructure planning for client. Transition experience will be very helpful.Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance or Economics from four-year college or university and a minimum of six years of related experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
CPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required (depending on experience). COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports and manuals using distinctive style. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, business people and management. Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and work streams.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Oversees department budget. Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts.
REASONING ABILITY Demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to plan, coordinate and organize all responsibilities of departmental staff. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles. Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired ( particularly JD Edwards, PeopleSoft Financials and Cognos Planning ). Knowledge ofreal estate service industry and terminology is helpful. Strong work ethic and adaptable.
